Since I was a small child, I have been inspired by the power of images, so as soon I could afford a camera, I began to put my instincts to work and have never really stopped.

In 1997 I began to explore the creative possibilities of generating coherent series of images linked to a theme. These “Projects” included The Grand Tour, Irish History, The Slave Trade and The Greenwich Meridian.

For some time, I had been intrigued by the possibility that images and text may benefit from being displayed together, and many of these series were accompanied by literary quotations including poetry. More recent work examines aspects of the Industrial and Agricultural Revolutions, I have also completed a study of the People, Places and Writings associated with the Isle of Wight.

I have served on the Assessment Panel for Contemporary/Conceptual Photography Distinctions at the Royal Photographic Society.

I am also a member of the Focus Group and regularly exhibit with them.
