Since I was a small child I have been intrigued by the power of images, so as soon I could afford a camera I began to put my instincts to work and have never really stopped.
In 1997 I began to explore the creative possibilities of generating coherent series of images linked to a theme. These “Projects” included The Grand Tour, Irish History, The Slave Trade and The Greenwich Meridian.
For some time I had been intrigued by the possibility that images and quotations could be displayed together and many of these series were accompanied by literary quotes including poetry. My current study examines aspects of the Industrial and Agricultural Revolutions.
I have served on the Assessment Panel for Contemporary/Conceptual Photography Distinctions at the Royal Photographic Society.
I am also a member of the Focus Group and regularly exhibit with them.
